Meditation & Breathwork

“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.”

― Thich Nhat Hanh

“We can hardly escape the feeling that the unconscious process moves spiral-wise round a centre, gradually getting closer, while the characteristics of the centre grow more and more distinct.”

— Carl Jung

“Meditation can help us embrace our worries, our fear, our anger; and that is very healing. We let our own natural capacity of healing do the work.”

— Thich Nhat Hanh

The Practice

The effects of meditation, while Life changing & perspective shifting, initially can be very subtle. Even hard to feel into, buried under the stress and tension we carry in our bodies. Under the weight of our thoughts, worries & aversions, stagnancy and lack of clarity of thought can become a never ending dissonant spiral. Like with anything we get good at, practice is key. The more we practice the grander the connection to the subtle energy within and around us.

Everyone benefits from meditation, not just personally. Those around us and the people we encounter, sense a more grounded presence. Because we take the time to become aware of our own thoughts, the intent put into our tasks, conversations & interactions become more co-creative, supportive and nourishing.

Silencing the noise, becoming aware of and directing the subtle energy throughout the body can be difficult in the beginning; as the Mind doesn’t turn off. Becoming still can be intimidating, sitting with in silence with our own thoughts can be even harder.

Guidance can be integral in beginning & nurturing a relationship with meditation. Explore the practices we’ve created with Intent to support you on your meditation journey.
